General Sales Invoice Template

This is the default invoice form layout shipped with the installer program of our popular Invoice Manager program. It is suitable for many business types, as it offers both "Bill To" and "Ship To" fields, and the invoice body section allows you to details both the service provided and the goods supplied.

Show Word 'Free' for Gifts

If you are giving something to your customers for free for the goods or services purchased from you, it might be wise to list the free items on the invoices and state the fact clearly by displaying the word 'Free' or 'Gift' on the free items. This sample invoice template implement this by moving the actual price and line total columns outside the print area, and then on the invoice body use Excel formulas to check whether the current price and line total is zero - if it is, the formula shows the word 'Free'; if it isn't, the price and line total are shown as usual.

Different Tax Rate per Item Type

This free sample invoice template implements a feature that allows you to charge different tax rates based on the type of an invoicing item - for example, one tax rate for labor and another tax rate for general items (products). The type of an item can be selected from a dropdown list, the Excel formulas implemented in the template check the type, and apply correct tax rate to the current item. The template then calculates all the line totals, subtotal, tax total and grand total, all done in an automated way. You might think this type feature could be hard to find even in some complicated invoicing programs, but with Excel it is done without a line of programming code. Computer Service Invoice Template

If you are running small computer retail or repair shop, this invoice template can help you create professional invoices easy and quick. On the center of the form it defines the print area, which is the invoice form printed when you execute the print command in Excel. On the print area, you can find spaces for invoice#, invoice date, customer information (the "Bill To" area), and a section for you to enter your company slogan or service term. On the invoice form body part, you can list all the service performed, as well as all the goods sold. Each item on the invoice body has a "Taxable" checkbox assigned to it. Check the "Taxable" box to have the template calculates tax for the current item; uncheck it to exclude it from tax calculation. Invoice Template with Two VAT Tax Rates

This free VAT invoice template differs from the other invoice forms available for free on this site in that it supports two separate vat tax rates, with one for a product / item category you choose. When creating an invoice, you choose the type of the current product / item using a dropdown list, the VAT invoice template then choose an appropriate tax rate for the current product / item, and then calculate taxes using the selected tax rates. All these are done in an automated way. If your client provides its own VAT registration number, it is then VAT-exempt.

VAT Invoice (Price Excluding Tax)

This vat invoicing template has 7 columns, "Description", "Price (excluding VAT)", "Quantity", "Total (Net)", "VAT", "Total (VAT)". The invoicing template is designed for the situation where prices include VAT tax. You specify VAT rate on the bottom of the invoice form. The amount of VAT of each invoicing item is calculated automatically and listed on the invoice body too.

VAT Invoice (Price including Tax)

This vat invoicing template has 7 columns, "Description", "Price (including VAT)", "Quantity", "Total (Net)", "VAT", "Total (VAT)". The invoicing template is designed for the situation where prices include VAT tax. You specify VAT rate on the bottom of the invoice form. The amount of VAT of each invoicing item is calculated automatically and listed on the invoice body too.

VAT Service Invoice Form

On the top of the invoice the form shows your company information and the big word 'INVOICE'. Following it there is a customer section located on the left (usually titled with 'Bill To' in the templates available on Uniform Software - but this type of static text can be changed easily - you can simply type in your own labels to replace the existing one.) At the right hand there are fields for 'VAT REG #', 'Tax Date', 'Invoice Number', 'Purchase Order #', 'Payment Term' and 'Due Date'. On the invoice detail section there are 4 columns inside the print area, i.e. 'Description', 'Price', 'VAT' and 'TOTAL'. Since this invoice template is designed for service business, the 'Quantity' column is fixed to '1' and located outside the print area. Another feature of this invoice template is that it allows you to specify VAT Rate for each item (again, outside the print area). If your items are always at the same vat level, you can fill in the VAT Rate column and lock this column of values.

Template with VAT Rate and Amount Columns

This is another sample of how to modify an existing invoicing template (in this case, a VAT invoice template with 2 VAT rates) to create a new one. The original free invoice template places the 'VAT Rate' and 'VAT Amount' columns outside the print area. While the original form design leaves more spaces for writing item descriptions etc., by moving the VAT Rate and VAT Amount columns into the print area you give your customers / clients more clear figures on how everything is calculated.

The sample invoice template has 6 columns, i.e. 'Product ID', 'Description', 'Tax Rate', 'Unit Price', 'Quantity', 'Line Total'. The 'Tax Category' and 'Tax Amount' columns are outside the print area. With the 'Tax Category' column you can choose the tax category for the current invoicing item from a dropdown list. It is this category that determines the tax rate that will be applied.

Template with Line Number on Invoice Body

The sample invoice template here differs from the other invoice templates available here on UniformSoft.com in that it does not use 'Product ID' or 'Item #'. Instead, if you fill in an item description on a line, it shows the line number of the current line; but if the description is not filled in, it shows nothing in the field. All this is implemented by using a simple Excel formula.

Template with Discount Amount Column

Giving a customer a discount and detailing the discount might be a good choice for some businesses. While the discount can be listed as an item with negative price or line total, a more detailed 'Discount' column on the invoice form could be even better. With this free invoice format, the 'Discount' column is defined as an amount, i.e. the discount value you manually entered will be subtracted from the line total of the given line. The discount column on the invoice body are titled with '%Discount'. As you can see, the discounts you entered here are formatted and seen as percentags. For example, if quanity is 10, unit price is 20, '%Discount' is 5, then the line total is 190. All the calculations within the free invoice template are done with Excel formulas. In some business practices it's usual not to list the customer/client details on the receipt or invoice. This template moves both the 'Bill To' and 'Ship To' sections out side the print area, so they will not appear on the printed invoices. The discount column in this template is an amount value. Engineering Service Invoice Template

The invoice template has two columns within the print area, a description column and a total column. 'Payment Type' can be chosen from a dropdown list on the bottom of the invoice form. The invoice template support 'change order' - if an item on the invoice form has the word 'change order' within the 'description' field, the grand total of the will become the total of the line with the word 'change order' appears.

Consulting Invoice Form

The sample consulting invoice form provided to you for free by UniformSoft.com includes all the usual fields that a service invoice template does, include your own company information, an (optional) logo image, invoice#, invoice date, fields for client information, as well as the invoice body area, where you can detail the price of each invoicing item.

Gold Shop Receipt Template

If you are running a gold shop or jeweler shop for selling gold products, try this free invoice template or receipt template. Per the business requirements, the form does not use the 'Bill To' and 'Ship To' sections, and all these fields are moved out the print area. The most interesting part of this invoice template is that how the template translate address the Holland format - the template allows you to enter the client address information (both the 'Bill To' and 'Ship To' addresses) in 'City (State) ZIP' format, and then transform it into 'ZIP CODE space City' format, for example '567 AA Amsterdam'. The transformation is done automatically with Excel formula. Another point to notice about this invoice template is that the invoice body has 6 columns - since this invoice template is designed for clothing-related business, a 'Size' (Maat) column is necessary - and usually important enough to list it as a dedicated column.

Web Hosting Invoice Form

There are two columns on the invoice body within the print area. The 'Description' column is where you enter the hosting plan the client purchased. The 'Amount' column within the print area is for display purpose only - If the current billing item is not free, this 'Amount' column display the amount as usual, and if he current billing item is free, the column value will the Word 'Free'. You enter the actual 'Amount' value outside the print area, which is located near the right-side of the print area. The invoice template has only 6 lines, but added a payment slip to the bottom of the form.

Plumbing and Heating Invoice Form

Since this is a service invoice, it does not use 'Ship To' fields. Instead, it offers a group of 'Site Address' and one additional 'Job Address' field to let you detail the address the service performed. The 'Code' column on the invoice body part allows you to use simplified and standardized code to identify the server or job that is being invoiced, for example 'S01' for small plumbing jobs, 'F01' for full heating systems, 'F02' for under floor heating, and 'N01' for new high efficiency boilers, etc. The 'Description' column should be filled with a detailed description of the current item. All the computable fields are listed on the invoice body, including Materials, Labor, Subtotal, VAT, Total Including VAT, Total, Paid, and Total Due.

Sales Invoice (2 Columns, without Tax)

This free invoice form is a variant of the general sales invoice template shipped with Invoice Manager. It differs from the general sales invoice template in that it has only two columns - a 'Description' column and an 'Amount' column. The 'Amount' column on this invoice form is manually-input, i.e. it is not calculated from Quantity and Price as seen in many other invoice templates. However the subtotal and total are calculated automatically. The invoice form does not have taxes set - if you need, you can unhide Excel worksheet row 31 and row 32 to display the tax rows. Or, if you have Invoice Manager for Excel installed, and are using the version of the template for Invoice Manager, you can set up tax options on the 'Settings' window.

Sales Invoice (2 Columns, without Shipping)

It's easy to make adjustment to the invoice format we provide to create your own invoice form by dragging and dropping cells in Excel. To do this, firstly drag your mouse to select the cell or cells you want to move, and then push your mouse on the border of the selected area and drag it to its new location you like. Excel also provides many tools you can use to format the invoice form, simply right-click the cell / cells you want to format, choose Format Cells from the menu - and, on the Format Cells dialog box, you may find a number of options for formatting the cell, including number format, fonts, borders, patterns, etc.

Sales Invoice with Total on Top (2 Columns)

This is another sample invoice form that is created from general sales invoice template. There are two columns on the invoice body within the print area, 'Description' and 'Amount', both are editable. The most interesting part regarding this free invoice format is that the 'Total' section (i.e. the summary section) was moved to the heading section of the invoice form, where we usually find the 'Shipping Address'. We cannot say which layout is the better one - to put the summary on the bottom, or to put the summary on the heading - what we can say is that, this is just a different invoice format.

Sales Invoice (3 Columns, 2 Taxes)

There are 3 columns on the invoice body, i.e. line#, description, and amount. Both the description and the amount are editable. If the amount on a line is filled in, the corresponding line# is filled in automatically using Excel formula. This sales invoice template has two taxes set on the bottom of the invoice form. You can modify the default tax name and tax rate to meet your needs.

Sales Invoice (3 Columns, without Shipping)

This variant of our general sales invoice template includes 3 columns. Both the 'Description' and the 'Amount' column are editable. This free invoice from assumes that the shipping address is same as the 'Bill To' address, so it sill keeps the 'Shipping and handling' field on the bottom of the invoice form for you to enter shipping cost. The subtotal, taxes and totals are calculated with Excel formulas.

Sales Invoice with Total on Top (3 Columns)

This invoice template sample was created based on the general sales invoice template. The most notable characteristic of this free invoice template is that the summary fields are moved to the top of the invoice form. There are 3 printable columns, line#, description and amount, reside within the print area. The line# column is filled in automatically when you enter an amount; both the description and amount columns are editable.

Clothing Store Invoice Template
